Trustees Required

  • Do you want to become a Trustee of an organisation with a clear and powerful purpose?
  • Do you want to make a difference to the Fire and Rescue Service and help ensure that the commitment and the dedication of firefighters who die on duty is always remembered?
  • Could you commit the time required to make a valuable contribution to our work?

If the answer to these questions is ‘yes’, we would be delighted to hear from you. Following some natural turnover on the Board of Trustees, we are now looking for a number of new Trustees to join us in our work.

In terms of time commitment, the Board meets twice a year for ½ a day, usually in London as well as two other online meetings. Trustees are encouraged to attend the Annual Service of Remembrance (held in September each year) as well as local events held on Firefighters Memorial Day (4th May each year). This role is unpaid but expenses are payable.

If you are excited by this opportunity and are keen to make a difference, please send an expression of interest (no more than one page of A4) along with your CV to admin@firefightersmemorial.org.uk by the 20th October 2023.

It is anticipated that interviews with the Chairman of the Trust, Colin Livett BEM, will take place in November.
